After months of intensive planning and collaboration, we are proud to announce the opening of the new RAITH Experience Center Europe on Wednesday, May 6, in Dortmund.
The Experience Center provides a unique platform where state of the art nanofabrication technologies can be experienced first hand and serves as a venue for exchange and collaboration with partners from industry and academia. As a global market and technology leader in maskless nanofabrication, RAITH further strengthens its role as a driving force for the digital future.
Opening ceremony with distinguished guests
Alongside the management and the application team from RAITH, we were delighted to welcome numerous guests from politics, business, and science. Among them were Dortmund’s Lord Mayor Alexander Kalouti, Prof. Dr. Michael Heuken (AIXTRON and Professor at RWTH Aachen University), as well as architect Elmar Gauggel from Labor Weltenbau.
Following the welcoming address by Dr. Michael Steigerwald, CEO of RAITH, these speakers contributed inspiring perspectives on innovation, technology, and the importance of the semiconductor industry in North-Rhine-Westfalia as well as Dortmund's successful structural transformation. A guided tour through the newly opened Experience Center marked another highlight of the event.
A hub where high tech meets people
The RAITH Experience Center Europe is far more than a traditional showroom. It is designed as a central hub for customer dialogue, technology workshops, and strategic collaboration.
Here, we showcase our technological expertise and creates an environment in which innovative solutions in nanotechnology, semiconductor development, and materials research can be jointly designed, tested, and advanced together with international partners.
The Experience Center therefore serves as both a showcase for our capabilities and a meeting place for decision makers from high tech industries as well as research and development.
Connecting People, Technology, and Applications
The Experience Center is a place where people connect with one another — and with our technology. A wide range of RAITH systems is available for hands on demonstrations, enabling customers to experience the technologies directly. At the same time, the center allows our application team to further intensify its focus on application development and the creation of new, customer specific solutions.
As Michael Steigerwald points out: “With the opening of the new Experience Center Europe, we are reinforcing our vision of pushing the boundaries of nanotechnology. Application development plays a key role in this. To be able to offer attractive solutions –particularly in new markets – we have centralized our entire product portfolio and our application specialists at a single location in Europe. This is because, in addition to the new center in Dortmund, there are already two others in the USA and Asia. Today, with this opening, we are turning a new page in RAITH’s success story by creating an opportunity to demonstrate our professionalism as an industrial partner; by working together with our customers and partners on effective solutions, new applications and future technologies. In doing so, we are further driving the company’s strong growth and continuing our success.“
The opening of the Experience Center marks a new chapter for RAITH. It enables us to develop better and more efficient solutions while creating an open space where collaboration, innovation, and exchange are always welcome.
