Your RAITH system will remain your favorite tool through changing challenges and applications. With additions and upgrades like new detectors, holders, and software features, you can optimize your system for any task that arises. Over the long lifespan of a RAITH system, keeping the PC, operating software, and components up to date will have a positive impact on efficient and reliable operation.
Optimize your system to changing needs and keep it at a top performance level regardless of its age
New applications and tasks
It is not necessary to purchase a new system when you desire the latest options to optimize your workflow. A new detector, GIS, or nanomanipulator might bring the extended capabilities you were looking for. In-field upgrades are available in almost any combination.
Increase the productivity
Several available options aim to improve productivity. Implementing the latest fast pattern generator to your system will have an impact, as well as using sample holders that are the best fit for the specific job (more than 30 different types of holders available).
Keep security up to date
Unfortunately, we can’t change the fact that electronics and software are subject to aging. But we can provide updates for PCs and sensitive electronics, as well as new versions of operating software, to keep your RAITH system up to date in terms of reliability and security.
Make your system grow with the challenges and keep it up-to-date
Updates
Software and hardware updates
Software updates are a regular part of service contracts but can also be acquired independently and are one easy step to keep your system up to date with the latest features and security.
Hardware and electronics are subject to aging. Unscheduled repairs can cause unnecessary downtimes. Replacing these components after years of heavy usage is a beneficial investment in the system’s reliability and performance.
Upgrades
Optional software and hardware features
Depending on system type and requirements, a broad variety of software upgrades are available. Let us know your application and requirements to determine which features will help you succeed in the challenges ahead.
Upgrading or adding hardware options will have an impact on the capabilities of your system. Adding different detectors will make visible what wasn’t before. Adding GIS or nanomanipulators will give you the ability to create and explore what was inaccessible before. Sometimes even the simple things like using an application optimized holder will have a significant impact in daily operation.
EBPG: Upgrade of Firebird and advanced alignment microscope
To speed up the application, a customer has extended an only 3-year-old EBPG system with the optional Firebird software feature and also added an alignment microscope to quickly and easily prepare the sample.

VOYAGER: BSE detector upgrade
To extend the imaging performance of the 8-year-old VOYAGER, a customer added a BSE detector. The installation was done during a regular preventive maintenance visit and did not cause any additional downtime.
03
RAITH150: Field cancellation upgrade
After AC/DC field measurement by RAITH engineers, it became obvious that due to changed infrastructure in the neighboring lab, the use of a field cancellation system was necessary. It was easily and quickly installed within the existing housing.
