At our location in Troy, NY, we have a full-time vacancy for Applications Engineer for nanofabrication and characterization systems as soon as possible.

Your mission

  • Contribute as a technical expert that advices customers in the most suitable Raith product solution for them and demonstrates how they add value to their applications.
  • Generate results that positively verify Raith nanofabrication systems performance on a variety of applications.
  • Actively manage and execute application projects for customer samples and live demonstrations in close collaboration with Sales.
  • Become an advanced user and organize the functionality of demo tool in cooperation with Engineering and Service department.
  • Occasional business trips to conferences and to other Raith’s european sites.

Your Qualifications

  • PhD or Master’s degree in physics, materials science, electrical engineering, or a related field with preferably 3 years relevant work experience.
  • A passion for nanoscale instrumentation and fabrication processes.  
  • Exceptional team working and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with nanofabrication instruments and processes.
  • Experience with lithography equipment, particularly in direct-write laser and electron beam lithography, is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven attitude and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: experience scripting for scientific data processing using JMP, MATLAB, Python, etc. 
  • Fluent in English.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
