We are a company of scientists, engineers and professionals committed to selling, installing, and supporting these com-plex systems for our Customers in the Americas. Our Troy, New York (Albany Region) Service Support Center has a part-time vacancy for an Engineering Repair Technician.

Your Responsibilities

  • This is a hands-on position working in our local service support center: troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating Raith system modules (for example: precision stage control electronics, high and ultra-high vacuum systems, power supplies, laser interferometer systems, and electron optics…).
  • If hired, you will receive training on the equipment/modules that you will be working on, including relevant safety training.
  • Once trained, you will be given a list of tasks to work on independently or with limited supervision.
  • You will be expected to provide regular status updates to management, including accompanying documentation.
  • Communication skills, safety, cleanliness, and attention to detail are critical for this position.

Your Qualifications

  • Exceptional team working and communication skills are critically important as well as the individual being solution driven and customer oriented
  • High-level problem-solving skills and troubleshooting methodology
  • Experience in servicing equipment (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs)
  • Proficiency with electronic test equipment and hands on experience with scientific instrumentation
  • Preferred experience in any of these areas: high voltage, vacuum systems, laser alignments, and/or SEM / FIB operation
  • Advanced US Military electronics training, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in an Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or Science related field. Certifications in cleanroom equipment is also welcome.
